The district at Vinings is an apartment complex located in the northwest section of Cobb County located in Atlanta GA.
Unlike most apartments in this area, this complex has been the headline of news stores a little over six months ago when the residents had to live without hot water for over a month and a half.
The residents were forced to boil hot water on the stove to bathe in, wash clothes as well as another day to day needs. This complex is located in between gas stations, business park, and multiple restaurants.
“This complex isn’t worth the fifteen-hundred dollars I’m paying a month to live here “. Said Laura a resident that’s been living in the complex for over three years because it’s in her son’s school district.
Laura’s building was one of the many building in September that was forced to go without hot water, she’s been having several issues in her apartment over the past few months that the rental office has yet to address.
“I have reported that my vinyl floors and baseboards are coming up in my living room, my hallway and my son’s bathroom. I have to place borax in my kitchen along the baseboards at night because my kitchen will be filled with water bugs because the floors are wet underneath the cabinets”.
The living conditions in Laura’s apartment isn’t worth the money she’s kicking out on a monthly basis.
Residents in other parts of the community had the same issues, Jarrod is a resident whose only been living in the area for over a month. “I just signed my lease last month and I’m ready to leave, It’s in the prime location but the complex, property management, and maintenance staff sucks,” said Jarrod.
Back on September 11 alive reported about their hot water issues back in September 2018. How can the resident be reassured issues won’t happen again.
